A week ago me and my mates organised a photo shoot in a warehouse, at one of our photography friend’s workplace. The models were budding actress Taihra Swaine and Anita Cowie. Taihra will be on our television pretty soon so keep your eyes on her.

We setup white seamless paper, a couple of flashes and transformed the warehouse into a studio environment. My main light source was a Canon 580EX II in a Lastolite 24″ Ezybox, triggered by PocketWizard FlexTT5 in ETTL mode. Two Canon 580EX flashes were used as background light for high key shots.

Please enjoy the photos.

Lighting info: One softbox on the left of Taihra, two lights for background. Simple, and effective portrait lighting.

Same lighting setup as before, but in different pose.

Lighting info: One 580EX flash as Master on camera, triggering 580EX slaves. This shot is a homage to photographer David Hobby.
